Heterogeneous fleet of aerial and surface vehicles for GNSS-denied maritime search, detection, and retrieval.
The MBZIRC Maritime Grand Challenge deploys robot technology for maritime security. A heterogeneous fleet of autonomous aerial and surface vehicles collaborates in a GNSS-denied coastal environment to detect predefined targets and retrieve objects. The KU team uses 20 UAVs and 1 USV with robotic arm for wide-area cooperative search, 3D modeling, and object retrieval.
