Embodied Neuromorphic AI

Intel Neuromorphic Research for Robotic Perception

Neuromorphic technologies from perception to motor control for compact, low-power robots that interact autonomously with their environment.

The design of robots that interact autonomously with the environment and exhibit complex behaviors can benefit from understanding what makes living beings fit to act in the world. Neuromorphic engineering studies neural computational principles to develop compact, low-power processing systems. This project demonstrates why endowing robots with neuromorphic technologies — from perception to motor control — is a promising approach for creating robots that can seamlessly integrate in society.
